Music in Worship
The Chancel Choir provides music that enriches and beautifies our worship on Sunday mornings and certain holy days. From September through June the choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. During the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service the choir sings an offertory anthem and other service music. Anyone high school age and older, who loves to sing and can regularly attend rehearsals, is eligible for choir membership. Come join!
The Shore Ringers (Handbell Choir) is an important part of the music at St. Alban’s. Our small but melodious bell choir has openings for novice and experienced bell ringers. Some musical interest and capacity are valued, but anyone can give it a try under the nurturing guidance of Director of Music Ministries Dr. Hentus van Rooyen. This group of committed players rehearses each Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 and plays for church services and other events from September through June. Any 7th grader through adult who loves music and can attend weekly rehearsals is invited to join.
