Casual Services

Update March 2020

Due the Covid-19 Pandemic we have suspended all in person services.

Centering Prayer

Centering prayer is a method of prayer that facilitates the opening of our whole being to God’s presence through the quieting of our faculties. Currently, Saint Alban’s centering prayer group meets every Monday at 5:00 pm. in the youth lounge. All are invited and welcome to share in this quiet time of contemplative prayer.

Compline is the final service of the day. There are times throughout the year that St. Alban’s holds the office of Compline.

Senior Residences

St. Alban’s offers monthly services of Holy Eucharist at several senior residences in Cape Elizabeth, South Portland and Scarborough. At all of these residences, we have a faithful congregation of people, most of whom are no longer able to attend church. They very much appreciate having a church service, including Scripture readings, hymns, a sermon, prayers and a Eucharist, brought to them. Everyone is welcome at these services.
