Karen Tucker, Parish Administrator

 Karen is personally familiar with Episcopal Church life and will be a great fit for the mission and ministries of St. Alban’s. She and her husband Sam, a lobsterman live on Great Diamond Island with their teenage son Scout and commute by the reliable Casco Bay Lines to Portland.



Katie Holicky, Minister of Children’s Formation

 Katie  is a recent graduate with a Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge and an experienced leader in children’s Christian formation. She has a wonderful spirit, a joy for life and a clear and articulate faith.

SONY DSCJames Strand, Choirmaster and Organist                                                                                                                                                                                    

James Strand is director of music at St. Alban’s. Before moving to Maine in 2000, he was professor of music for thirty eight years at Southwestern College,     Winfield, Kansas. In addition to teaching organ and other music courses, he served as organist and choirmaster at Winfield’s Grace Episcopal Church. A   graduate of the University of Redlands, where he also earned a master’s degree in music, Strand holds the doctor of musical arts degree from the University   of  Oklahoma. He is an Associate in the American Guild of Organists. Under the auspices of the Kansas Arts Commission and the Mid-America     Regional Touring  Program, he presented concerts and workshops at schools, churches, and colleges throughout Kansas and the Midwest. Jim      contributes significantly to the  musical life of Portland. He was a member of the board of the Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ and has been dean of   the Portland chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He has performed several organ recitals in Maine. Dr. Strand was inducted into the Southwestern College Fine Arts Hall of Fame.

Linda Howard 3Linda Howard, Assistant Treasurer

Linda joined us in January 2004.  She enjoys supporting the Clergy, Treasurer, staff and parishioners of St. Alban’s with all things accounting related.  Linda works from her home office and you will usually find her at St. Alban’s once a month.  She lives in Cumberland with her husband John.  They have three daughters, Jenny, Jessica and Sarah.  In her spare time, Linda enjoys reading, volunteering and time spent with family and friends.


Liz Davy, VLiz Davyolunteer Parish Nurse

Elizabeth Davy, RN was born and raised on Long Island, NY.  She moved to Maine in 1976 and was an active member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Falmouth for many years. She and her husband Richard have a blended family of 6 children and 4 grandchildren. Liz is retired following 46 years working in Nursing.  Liz and Dick are engaged in many outdoor activities. She is enjoying the challenges and rewards of being the Parish Nurse and as a leader of the Parish Health Ministry.
