There are three worship services at St. Alban’s on Sunday morning and there is a Sunday evening service at St. Alban’s mission, Grace Church in Portland as well as a Wednesday morning service.

8:00 AM Holy Eucharist Rite I
This is a quiet Eucharist with sermon and without music using more traditional language in the prayers.

9:00 AM Holy Eucharist Rite II
This is a Eucharist with sermon and music using more contemporary language in the prayers.

10:30 Holy Eucharist Rite II
This is a Eucharist with sermon and music with choir using more contemporary language in the prayers.

5:30 Candlelight Eucharist Rite II at Grace Church
St. Alban’s mission church conducts an informal Eucharist with sermon and more contemporary music at 5:30 every Sunday evening at the St. Lawrence Arts and Community Center at 76 Congress St. in Portland.

9:00 AM Wednesday Rite I Eucharist
This is a reflective midweek Eucharist without sermon.

Music is directed by organist/choirmaster Dr. James Strand.

The Chancel Choir sings regularly at the Sunday 10:30 service and other special occasions. Practices are Thursday from 7:30 to 9:00 PM.

The Handbell Choir plays occasionally at Sunday services and other special occasions. Practices are Thursday from 6 PM to 7:15 PM.

We are always looking for instrumentalists to play or vocalists to sing during services as well. If you are interested in joining one of the choirs or you are an instrumentalist or singer and would like to take part in a service, please contact Jim Strand at 885-9999.

5:30 PM Grace Church Eucharist Rite II
The mission church of St. Alban's conducts an outdoor,informal Eucharist with music and brief sermon.  The location is at Fort Allen Park in Portland which is at the intersection of the Eastern Promenade and Fore St. on Munjoy Hill.  The service is in the gazebo.  In case of inclement weather the service will be indoors at the St. Lawrence Arts Center at 76 Congress St. on Munjoy Hill in Portland (only a few blocks away).

Chalice Bearers
Chalice Bearers minister the chalice to communicants at the communion rail and occasionally read the psalm and second reading. They are scheduled every four to six weeks. Contact Gee Wakelin, 799-1819 for info.

Lectors
Lectors read the first reading to the congregation at any of the Sunday services. They are normally scheduled every six to eight weeks. Contact Gee Wakelin, 799-1819 for info.

Ushers
Ushers facilitate church services by creating a welcome, hospitable atmosphere through simple functions like passing out bulletins and taking the collection. Ushers are scheduled every six to eight weeks. Contact Blaine Riggle.

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild prepares the altar for all worship services including funerals and weddings. Altar Guild members are scheduled every four to six weeks. Contact Virginia Blackwood at 767-2508 for info.

Flower Committee
The Flower Committee provides flower arrangements for Sunday services as well as special parish celebrations. Flower Committee members are scheduled every six weeks. Contact Nancy Angier at 767-2271 or Shirley Dalbeck at 799-3602 for info.
