Current Volunteer Opportunities

Tuesday Office Support:  St. Alban’s is a busy place and at its hub is a week-day ministry of office staff and volunteers who guide the production of all the materials for worship, mailings and special events. We are currently looking for office support on Tuesday mornings from 10:00am – noon or Tuesdays afternoons from 1:00 -4:00pm.  Volunteers must be comfortable phones, greeting visitors and completing basic computer projects.  If you would like to join in a truly fun and productive effort, please consider joining this great crew! This has proved to be a great way to meet people and get to know the parish. Please call Karen Tucker, Parish Administrator at 799-4014, email or stop by the office.

Flower Committee Seeking New Members:   The Flower Committee is looking for additional members for our small, but dedicated group.  The basic requirement is the love of flower arranging.  If you feel your skills need a little honing, don’t worry.  You will work with an experienced member until you feel comfortable creating by yourself.  Members are scheduled once every five to six weeks.  We have charge accounts at a couple of area florists, but if you purchase flowers elsewhere, you will be quickly reimbursed.  For more information, please contact Mary Giftos at 904 477 8819.

Do you love to cook? Are you looking for a way to help others?
St. Alban’s Meals Ministry delivers meals to the homes of parishioners and community members during times of difficulty or transition.  We have a wonderful team of volunteer cooks, but need to recruit a few more to share the load.  Here’s how it works:  You will be added to a list of volunteer cooks.  As requests are made by parishioners who need a little help, an email will be sent out to all cooks giving the details on who, when, where and what meals are needed.  If you are available, simply reply to sign up for the date that works best for you.  It’s easy for you but so meaningful for the people who are supported with your nutritious, home-cooked meal.  If you would like to be added to the team of volunteer cooks, contact Linda Card at

Rides ministry at great way to help others:  St. Alban’s Rides ministry offers rides to church services, appointments and programs.  We are looking for several more volunteers to join our great but small team of drivers.  Here’s how it works:  You will be added to a list of volunteer drivers.  As requests for rides are made, an email is sent out to all drivers providing the details.  If you are available, simply reply to sign up to help.  It’s easy, low pressure and fits into your schedule.  If you would like to be added to the team of volunteer drivers, contact Frank Governali – / 799-5842.

Bell ringers are needed: Our small but melodious bell choir has openings for novice and experienced ringers. Some musical interest and capacity is valued, but anyone can give it a try under the nurturing guidance of Music Director, Jim Strand. Email him at:
