Current Volunteer Opportunities

Do you love to cook? Are you looking for a way to help others?
St. Alban’s Meals Ministry delivers meals to the homes of parishioners and community members during times of difficulty or transition.  We have a wonderful team of volunteer cooks, but need to recruit a few more to share the load.  Here’s how it works:  You will be added to a list of volunteer cooks.  As requests are made by parishioners who need a little help, an email will be sent out to all cooks giving the details on who, when, where and what meals are needed.  If you are available, simply reply to sign up for the date that works best for you.  It’s easy for you but so meaningful for the people who are supported with your nutritious, home-cooked meal.  If you would like to be added to the team of volunteer cooks, contact Linda Card at lindacardme@gmail.com

Rides ministry at great way to help others:  St. Alban’s Rides ministry offers rides to church services, appointments and programs.  We are looking for several more volunteers to join our great but small team of drivers.  Here’s how it works:  You will be added to a list of volunteer drivers.  As requests for rides are made, an email is sent out to all drivers providing the details.  If you are available, simply reply to sign up to help.  It’s easy, low pressure and fits into your schedule.  If you would like to be added to the team of volunteer drivers, contact Frank Governali – fgovernali@maine.rr.com / 799-5842.

Bell ringers are needed: Our small but melodious bell choir has openings for novice and experienced ringers. Some musical interest and capacity is valued, but anyone can give it a try under the nurturing guidance of Music Director, Jim Strand. Email him at: jstrand@maine.rr.com
