Formation

Leading Us to Grow

St. Alban’s greatly values Christian, spiritual education.   We understand that different ages have different educational needs. Our preschoolers and kindergarteners participate in a Montessori-based program that uses a sensorimotor style of storytelling for encountering God.  Our 1st  through 4th graders learn about God through Bible stories taught on a rotational basis using art, movies, games, and drama.  Once our children know about the God of the Bible, our 5th and 6th graders move to curriculum designed to help students connect major themes from across scripture.

The Rite 13 program for 7th and 8th graders moves away from a specifically scripturally based approach to one that is rooted in the questions young people face as they grow up. Because we recognize that adolescence is a time of questioning, our teenagers are free to discover and explore their views of God and Spirituality.  Our high school youth program is designed to provide a safe and low-stress environment for our teenagerSONY DSCs, who live in a high-pressure world.

Finally, Adulthood is the time to reflect and grow spiritually.  As such, St. Alban’s offers various Christian education classes throughout the year.

Our Formation programs help us to lead Joyful, Thankful, Useful and Hopeful lives.
